Typically lasting 2-3 months from November to February each year, Roatan's rainy season has hit us in the past 2 weeks with our 2nd wind/rain storm of the season! Lasting 4-5 days, these "northers" are usually the result of an Arctic system that blows across the Midwest and winds up down here in the tropics. Colder than average temperatures right now make a nice change from the higher temperature and humidity levels tropical islands like Roatan are accustomed to.
Cruise ships, charter Airlines and scheduled flights are continuing to operate and bring in tourists by the thousands each week. Real Estate inquiries are up over this time last year and property sales are climbing back up the MLS charts. Tourists are spending more time exploring the island, reading local publications and swimming in the breaking waves!!! It's great time to explore the opportunities Roatan has to offer, even if it means getting a little wet...
