Q. What do Richard Gere, Michael Douglas and me have in common?

A. We were all on Roatan during the past month.

Unfortunately, that's about ALL that the 3 of us have in common.... On a strong suggestion from his wife, Catherine Zeta Jones, Michael flew his private jet over from Bermuda, where he makes his family home, to Roatan earlier this month to check out properties and the possibility of investing here. Spending 4 days with a certain RE/MAX Agent (Island Ed), Michael was very impressed with what he saw and definately will be bringing Catherine back for a look. The Douglas's just may be Roatan's newest residents very soon, according to Island Ed....

Richard Gere and family spent the days enjoying the white sands and dipping their toes in the turquiose waters of Palmetto Bay Plantation this past week. Host Gary Chalmer, developer and manager of the resort, which was home to FOX TV's Temptation Island last year, said Mr. Gere had a private and quiet vacation away from the media and camera dodging of back home....and will also definately return....

Happy Birthday Seashells!

Celebrating her ___ birthday last week, my gorgeous wife and partner, Shelley, stumbled into her surprise party at Rick's American Cafe...without so much as a clue this was going on... for HER!

Joining the fun was the whole gang from the office in addition to some dear friends from Virginia Beach.. After almost a full day at Baan Suarte, the exclusive spa in Sandy Bay, Shelley couldn't look better for the party! Thanks to all who shared with us. HAPPY 29th my love!!

2006 Triathlon in the history books

Just when we thought it was safe to wander the beach again....in comes a deluge of athletes, spectators, vendors, sponsors, media and even 2 Top REALTORS from Virginia Beach!! Alan Thompson and his adorable wife, Tammy, owner of the largest RE/MAX office in the world! came down to check out this years race in West Bay! More than 100 participants swam, biked and ran the sanctioned event under bright sunny skies over the weekend here on the Island.

Local islander joins the winning team!

After almost 3 months of searching, interviewing and re-defining the job role...I've finally hired Michelle Hart to our team with Montreal Bob and I.... Michelle is a native of Roatan and has studied in the USA in addtition to working here on the Island for the past few years. The stars come out in Vegas!

Just back from Las Vegas where the Stars were out on Awards Night!! Both Henrik Jensen from our office and myself recieved honors for sales achievement this past year. In addition, I also recieved the prestigious "Spirit Award", given to the Top Broker in the Caribbean/Central America who has shown the highest level of team commitment and support of the RE/MAX system! Both Henrik and I were amoung the TOP 20 Agents in the entire Caribbean with Henrik coming in at Number 5!! Way to go, guy!

Many thanks to all my loyal clients, friends and family who have made this all possible. Without you, we would just be sitting around in hammocks, drinking cold beverages...watching sunsets...oh ya.. that IS what we do.....

The Steve Miller band brought the house down at the MGM Grand last week during a private concert exclusively for the delegates of the 2005 RE/MAX International Convention in Las Vegas. Shelley and I partied along with 9,000 other "rockers" to old favorites like "Jungle Love", "The Joker", "Abra-cadabra", and more....
