(Greenwood Village, Colo., Oct. 13, 2006) – A cleaner, better organized, easier to navigate Web site for the RE/MAX Caribbean and Central America region* was unveiled at their 2006 regional conference in Miami on October 5. (Visit www.remax-caribbeanislands.com or www.remax-centralamerica.com.)
“In response to requests from our affiliates, we simplified the site while enhancing the look with better graphics and improved content,” commented Peter Gilmour, RE/MAX International senior vice president of franchise sales and brokerage. “We worked closely with the RE/MAX International Web services team to create a significantly altered site. The new version keeps one of the main features of the old site – clickable maps – and now has individual pages for each country or territory including relevant content and maps indicating the location of the various offices in the Region.”
The country/territory pages can also be accessed utilizing the property search feature from the main menu. There is an agent/office search feature linked to the Web Roster on remax.com. Information about the region operations, benefits of affiliation, franchise opportunities and a link to remax.com are also provided. A version of the Web site in Spanish is scheduled to follow soon.
Visitors searching for properties can click on a direct link to the Web
sites of various RE/MAX offices in each country or territory.
Consumers all over the world benefit by having more choices, since the
offices Web sites have the ability to show not only their own listings,
but also any other listings in their areas that they are able to
market. The offices benefit by receiving direct inquiries from
consumers, offering more control of the leads generated by direct
traffic to the site and from remax.com.
“Traffic on the regional Website has increased significantly this year,
averaging over 40,000 visitors per month in the first nine months of
2006,” according to Ricardo Cardenas, regional vice president of RE/MAX
Caribbean and Central America, “This increasing Web presence
represents an important benefit for all our offices and sales
associates in the Caribbean and Central America. People around the
world are looking more and more at this region as a great place for
vacation homes, retirement and investment. The site also helps RE/MAX
affiliates in the U.S., Canada and other international regions who want
to refer clients and business to affiliates in the Caribbean and
Central America. We expect traffic to increase even more now that the
redesigned website is complete along with other new strategies designed
to improve visibility, such as search engines like Google and Yahoo.”
