Well, it seems that once again, the torential downpours associated with a tropical island situated in the warm Caribbean waters have found us. Since late last week, we've recieved over 6 inches of the wet stuff which has slowed construction projects, caused minor roadside mudslides, forced villagers indoors and luckily...has filled many a water cisterns....

You just never know who's going to walk through your front door when you need it
most. RE/MAX Agents Alan and Tammy Thompson came to the Island in March to check things out before deciding to move down permanently. During their brief visit, my wife Shelley mentioned some of the work she is doing with the various charities on the Island....and as it turned out, Alan had contacts in the NYC fire department....and VOILA!! Boxes of much needed "used" fire gear was enroute to Roatan!!.....
