Japanese tourists invade roatan beaches

The largest contingency of Cruise ships ever arrived today in Roatan!! Eleven Japanese ships from Nikkon Cruise Lines carrying more than 22,000 Japanese tourists have overtaken the Island's beaches! "West Bay looks like a mad house", said Ian Washington, a tourist from Colorado told me this morning! This shot, taken from my deck shows the mass and West Bay is not the only Island destination to feel the effects. West End, Sandy Bay and ALL the tourist attractions are full, according to Ito Wasaki, Shore excursion manager for Nikkon.

I'm not sure if we're happy or not about this, but I know for one thing, the tour operators, restaurants and dive shops are being overrun and can't possibly keep up with the demands.... This one day craziness is expected next "April fools day" as well.... Have a good one!! LOL
