Just when we thought living on Roatan couldn't get any better, the Guatemalan company currently developing over 400 acres on Roatan's north shore has added yet another plus for considering Roatan for investment/retirement. Pristine Bay Resort, as it is called on their website is now under construction and the first phases include a championship 18 hole golf course designed by Pete Dye, a world class hotel project and a full service marina facility.
Rolling out their plans Friday at Coral Cay, more than 300 people were among the first to see their plan and learn of the wonderful benefits this type of development will mean to Roatan's economy. They will also be phasing in property/condo sales at a later date. Golf memberships will be available to residents of the Island and the hotel will feature some amazing restaurants and shops. The "Black Pearl" golf resort is scheduled for completion within 24 months and will draw a lot of tourists who have been waiting for such an amenity for the Island.
