Honduras ninth democratically elected President, Porfirio (Pepe) Lobo was sworn in today at 10:40 am in the nation's capital, Tegucigalpa. The farmer and black belt Karate expert, assumed the Presidency of Honduras today for a period of four years, after seven months of deep political crisis in the country for the removal of Manuel Zelaya, the previous crook who tried to change Honduras' Constitution to allow him to stay in office indefinitely.
The event was attended by the presidents of Panama, Ricardo Martinelli, Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernández, and Taiwan, Ma Ying-jeou, in addition to delegations from twenty other countries, including the United States of America among others.
As the world now recognizes Honduras as a sovereign nation once again and opens their doors to welcome us back into social trade and industrial unions, join me in congratulating "the little country that could"... a country proud of it's heritage. A country that slammed the door on socialism and Chavezismo! A country that is democratic. Viva Honduras!!
