Monster Carrots Invade Honduras!!
Unlike the nutrient-depleted soils of the USA, Honduras' farms enjoy year round growing seasons, high nutrient rich, dark dirt and an abundance of GIGANTIC crops… From pineapples to bananas, potatoes to carrots… organics just taste better here in Roatan, and have far more vitamins and minerals than similar foods back home. Let's face it!! You can just be a LOT HEALTHIER living in Honduras!!

Grey't January Weather Once Again
Well, yesterday it hit once again… just in time for the weekend. Another norther (which dumped snow in the USA) has come, but this one is rather weak compared to the last few. Intermittent rain showers, grey (or gray) skies and a little wave action on the shores of Roatan. These cooler temps are welcome after the past 3 weeks of hot sun… and by Monday we'll be back to clear blue...

Tropical Bacteria and One Family's Experience...
Since we don't have freezing temperatures to kill certain types of bacteria… these little organisms thrive on the heat, moisture and salt water of the tropics… but BEWARE… what you don't know could be deadly! My daughter, Falyn was recently visiting and learned the hard way about cuts and how they MUST be treated… promptly!
