Just a few short years ago, grocery shopping on Roatan was an all-day ordeal. You had to drive on a dirt road all the way to French Harbour, pick through a meager assortment of dry, wilted produce... wait in line as the butcher cut your choice of meat off the hanging corpse... well, you get the picture. And now, thanks to progress (which some newbies who think less is better dislike), we have more choices, more selection and better prices and quality foods!!!
